Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly FG Boot Review
With the start of the new season coming up for Pro players in the Premiership and Park players on muddy council pitches, There is one thing all these players have in common, FOOTBALL BOOTS.
With most clubs now into pre season training and the leagues just about to start, a lot of players look at the icons for what to wear on there feet for 90 miniutes a week.
With that in mind and looking round the Football boots that we have coming in soon I thought I would start at the top , with the much awaited Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly FG Football Boots.
These were originally pulled a while ago as a few pairs split, so before launch in April they are held back until the design fault was rectified.
So has the wait been worth wild?
This is what NIKE have to say about the boot -
WIRED FOR SPEED
Defenders beware: Introducing the Mercurial Vapor Superfly, Nike’s lightest boot ever. With ultra-strong Flywire technology that shaves ounces off the weight and seconds off the time it takes to skin past any backline.
Check out what Cristiano Ronaldo thinks about the new Mercurial Vapor Superfly: “The Mercurial Vapor Superfly is much lighter and helps me attack faster. Since I was 16 or 17, I’ve always played with the Mercurial. These boots are very different to others – they’re much lighter, but I think the boots are perfect to play in. It is something very special to play with these boots because they are known for being fast.”
The Mercurial Vapor Superfly is the first football boot to incorporate Flywire technology and is the lightest football boot Nike’s ever put on the pitch, weighing just 190 grams. The Mercurial Vapor Superfly is also a great example that less can be more: Nike Flywire technology reduces the amount of material required for the upper to the bare minimum without compromising the boot’s durability or integrity and support. Thanks to testing and feedback from some of the top players in the world, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Pato, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho, Nike was able to pinpoint exactly where these structural elements needed to be placed to give the best support possible. The upper is also unique in that it is designed to adapt to the motion of the foot, making it superbly flexible and supple - just what just what you need to dart past a defender or change direction in an instant. As football becomes faster and faster every season, speed is imperative. Not only are players striving to be faster with the ball, the need to accelerate quicker, react quicker and change the game quicker than the opposition is more important than ever. You will still need to develop the skills and determination to make it to the top, but you’ll know you are on the right track once you run on the pitch in a pair of Mercurial Vapor Superfly boots.
Flywire technology is strategically placed filaments that provide optimal support and comfort precisely where the foot needs it.
7-layer carbon composite outsole lowers weight with maximum strength and flexibility
Soft, supple Teijin synthetic leather reduces weight and optimises feeling with the ball
Special coating at upper lateral boot with contrast-colour identifies zone for best ball control and improves grip
Superlight, superstrong direct-injected dual-density heel studs for reduced weight with multi-directional pattern for excellent grip
Weight: 190g
This is LovellSoccer’s Boot Specialist, Bullys View on the boot
At first when I saw the Superfly’s I was amazed on how light they are, As they look heavier than the 190g that they say they weigh.
I’m a uk size 8 in most boots on the market so I use this as my guide, I felt that the fit was a little tight to get on at first , but once foot in, Superb fit(Like a football boot should)
The Sole plate is lightweight and Flexiable in all the right places.
Nice thin Tongue so to get a good feel of the ball.
Looks
Very Sleek, Like the detail on the side and improvement on the SL.

This is targeted at the Elite(Biggest Poser) players of the team.
Surface Made For

As the blades are the same length as a normal stud.
