Can England be Classed as a Top World Class side?
In all actuality, shouldn’t we have seen this coming like some run away freight down the frozen road of Picidilly Circus. set by all those England players before? A capitulation of the highest order, a failing against those we least want to fail against and lastly, an outcome that was so sure to happen, we all seemed to pull the wool over our very eyes and convince ourselves through sheer self fulfilling prophecy that it was somehow going to end different this time. Carragher & Bent named in Capello provisional England squad
Fabio Capello names his provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup.
Fabio Capello has confirmed his provisional squad for the World Cup, with 30 players making up the list of those who will travel to Austria in six days time to begin the training preparation for the tournament.

Canny Nike hijack Wayne Rooney’s FourFourTwo cover shot
Major issues have been raised by Nike’s ambush marketing coup in having Wayne Rooney promote their boots on the front cover of FourFourTwo magazine’s World Cup issue.
The FA have regulations to protect the national team’s official sponsors. But in shamelessly draping a pair of Nike boots around Rooney’s neck when he’s centre stage in a picture of five players in England shirts, the swoosh brand have pushed a grey area to the limit.

Wayne Bridge goes into Premature International Retirement.
Wayne Bridge has made himself unavailable for selection for the England national team, claiming his presence was potentially divisive to the squad. The Manchester City defender and Puma King Football boot wearer released a short statement this morning, which effectively leaves Fabio Capello without both his first-choice left-backs for Wednesday’s friendly with Egypt.
