Premier League Shopping lists for the January Sales
Arsenal
Budget £30m
What they need For all Arsène Wenger’s talk about buying a striker to cover for the absence of Robin van Persie, Arsenal would benefit enormously from a dependable goalkeeper capable of underpinning a title challenge with more confidence than the shaken Manuel Almunia. Depending on the injury situation in midfield, they may also have to scour the market for a midfielder with more experience than the promising Aaron Ramsey. If Philippe Senderos is allowed to leave, a centre-back will be needed.
Possible ins Marouane Chamakh (Bordeaux, £4m), Edin Dzeko, right, (Wolfsburg, £25m), Carlton Cole (West Ham, £10m), Igor Afinkeev (CSKA Moscow, £20m), Robert Green (West Ham, £5m)Craig Bellamy (Manchester City £12m)
Possible outs Philippe Senderos (Roma, £2m), Jack Wilshere (Burnley, Fulham, West Ham, loan)

Premiership Transfers and Who They Should Sign.
Well the season is only a couple of days away and most Premiership managers now have an idea on what squads that they have now for the title Battle of the Relegation fight !!
There will be a few signings over the next couple of weeks, so I have listed the players that have moved and a couple of players that I feel would do well if the respective managers splashed out before the transfer window closes.

Dream Champions League Final Preview
Manchester United will tonight try to become the first back to back winners of the Champions league when they face Barcelona tonight in Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
This is the match most people would have wanted to see as it will pit the English champions against the Spanish Champions. The two best leagues against each other in club footballs biggest game. Although some would have wanted a rematch of the United - Chelsea match from last season, but here at Lovell Soccer this is the match we have been looking forward to. (more…)

Carlos Tevez Transfer Saga
With Carlos Tevez (Nike Legend SG Football Boots), boycott of the Manchester United Player of the Year awards and the long wave goodbye after being substituted against Arsenal at Old Trafford, I think it only needs 1 braincell to come to the conclusion that Carlos Tevez will be leaving Old trafford this summer.
I have to say I find the Argentinian a pleasure to watch and would think that he would walk into any club in the premiership as the first name on the sheet. (more…)

Chelsea Last Gasp Heartache
With the aftermath that happoned last night I beleive some people need to take a step back and reflect upon two largely magnificent performances by our team. Yes the referee was poor who shouldn’t be allowed near a professional football ground again, but he did harshly dismiss Barcelona’s Abidal too, just like Manchester United’s Darren Fletcher walked the day before.
The comment made by Skysports pundit Jamie Redknapp was a good one that in Norway referee’s would never get to ref a game between 2 teams battling for such a big prize, a place in the Uefa Champions League Final in Rome on 27th May.

Giggs Names PFA Player of Year 08/09

Ryan Giggs has been awarded the PFA player of the season.
Giggs who expected hit yet another landmark by making his 800th appearance for United, when Sir Alex Ferguson’s men faced Arsenal in the Uefa Champions League semi-final.
But with typical modesty, Giggs said: “I’m far more interested in beating Arsenal than anything else.
“These are the games you want to be involved in. They don’t come bigger than Champions League semi at Old Trafford. I can’t wait.
“But as for my 800th appearance, these are things I will look back upon when I finish and I will be proud then. First and foremost, hopefully, I will be celebrating with a good result.” (more…)
