New Balance Furon V8
If you’re the kind of player who loves blowing past defenders and slipping through tight gaps, the New Balance Furon V8 might just become your new partner-in-crime.
Marking the eighth generation of NB’s speed-focused line since 2015, the Furon V8 arrives in a “White / Energy Red / Hi-Lite” colourway that is, frankly, impossible to ignore.
Fiery red streaks morph into orange before exploding into a green-yellow flourish around the silver ‘N’. Subtle? Not a chance. Showstopper? Absolutely.
While it’s not a total overhaul of last year’s V7, don’t brush it off as “same old, same old.” The new FIT WEAVE stretch upper builds on the Hypoknit formula—something we appreciated on the V7 for its instant comfort across different foot shapes.
Now it’s tweaked to hold its shape longer and shave off a bit of weight. You’ll notice that difference the moment you pin your ears back for a sprint.
One tweak we’re glad they made is the transition from 11 to 12 Speed CTRL studs. That extra stud might sound minor, but it helps you lock in and push off more confidently, especially on firm ground.
Data-driven support zones round out the improvements, stripping away extra bulk so you can focus on terrorizing defenders rather than worrying about your boots.
New Balance Tekela
On the flipside, if you’re more about orchestrating the game—think precise passing, clever turns, and a dash of flair—check out the fresh Tekela V4 from the Flash Point Pack.
This iteration is basically a masterclass in how to make a statement boot without going overboard (though the “lava-hot magma” vibe is pretty wild in the best way).
Favoured by Brazilian sensation Endrick, the Tekela takes the “Energy Red” theme and cranks it up a notch, blending into black and metallic silver around the ‘N’ symbol.
A few sharp hits of lime green on the collar and detailing tie into the rest of the pack, so you’ll stand out no matter where you’re lining up on the pitch.
What truly shines, though, is the Tekela’s adaptive knit construction—it hugs your foot with a sock-like fit, giving you that natural control for pulling the strings in midfield or pinging killer through-balls.
We find it also suits players who want to feel connected to the ball without their boots feeling restrictive. If running the show is your style, Tekela’s your boot.
New Balance 442
Last in the lineup but by no means a benchwarmer, the new 442 V2 Elite from New Balance takes tradition to the next level. Built around premium leather, this “Elite” rendition ushers in a fresh era for the 442 series—surpassing the Pro version in both design and performance.
Quilted lines flow gracefully from the toe box toward the lime-green ‘N’ branding, then curve around the heel for a timeless, yet eye-catching aesthetic that doesn’t just belong in heritage boot circles—it aims to dominate them.
Under the hood, a Microfiber PU upper replaces the open-stitch aesthetic of the Pro model, trading that retro vibe for seamless debossed quilting that’s not only velvety to the touch but exceptionally comfortable during those all-important runs.
For the first time ever, a Hypoknit collar finds its way onto the 442, introducing a one-piece, low-profile knitted design paired with a traditional lace closure.
Rivaling giants like adidas Copa, Puma King, and Nike Tiempo is no small task, but the 442 V2 Elite throws its hat in the ring with serious intent.
Like what you see?
If any of these caught your eye—or if you’re just itching to spice up your game—head over to Lovell Soccer and grab a pair from the New Balance Flash Point Pack before they’re gone.
Whether you’re out to put defenders on toast with the Furon, dictate tempo with the Tekela, or revel in leather luxury with the 442, there’s a boot here that’s bound to light up your next match.
